Exhibitor Online Manual
Welcome to Construct Canada 2009
To help you prepare and ensure that
your exhibit experience is a success please take a few minutes to review
the information below.
POLICIES & STANDARDS
Start by referring to our
Policies and
Standards which must be complied with by each exhibitor as stated in
the terms of the Exhibitor's Contract For Exhibit Space. In
addition, review
Appendix A: Policies and Standards Governing Exposition which
outlines the responsibilities of exhibitors and Show Management with
respect to exhibitry and Move-in and Move-out procedures:.
A HARDWALL DISPLAY IS MANDATORY
Construct
Canada is a hardwall Show so we
will not have drapes running behind or along the sides of each booth. As
such your backwall will back on to the booth behind yours. A standard
pop-up booth qualifies as a hardwall as do retractable banner stands.
Both must cover the entire backwall of your booth space at 8’ high.
If you are in a perimeter booth
(with a building wall behind you) you may build higher than the 8’ but
must obtain approval from Show Management prior to the Show. Please send
an email detailing the height you would like to go and the basic
construction material to Karen Maki, Director Show Operations, at
kmaki@mmart.com.
If you do not have a hardwall booth
you may order one from the official Show decorator GES CANADA.
Information will be provided in the Online Exhibitor Manual to be posted
in mid-June. To speak to someone now please contact the GES CANADA
Toronto office via phone at 905-283-0500.
SIDEWALLS ARE OPTIONAL
The projection of 8' high sidewalls
from the rear of the booth to the aisle must be limited to a maximum of
5' from the rear of the booth, allowing 50% visibility at the sides of
the exhibit. Extensions of side rails beyond 5' from the rear of the
booth must be at a height of no greater than 4'. Exceptions will be
made for island booths and peninsula booths (i.e., where at least 3
sides of the exhibit face onto an aisle).
CARPETING IS MANDATORY
Exhibitors are responsible for
carpeting their entire floor space. You may bring your own or rent
carpeting from the official Show decorator GES CANADA.
Click here for the carpet order form.
If you wish to use some other
material (wood flooring, tile, etc) approval must be obtained from Show
Management prior to the Show. Please email your detailed request for an
alternate floor covering (including any necessary safety precautions
that you will take to ensure that there are no trip hazards to Karen
Maki, Director, Show Operations at
kmaki@mmart.com.

and as such, all participants must comply with the legislation
contained in the Occupational Health & Safety Act, which is governed
by the Province of Ontario. All persons active in the onsite
activities should be properly trained in and aware of the appropriate
safety responsibilities pertinent to the tasks they are performing. All
equipment should be inspected and in proper working condition. It is
advised that all persons involved in the move-in process wear proper protective footwear. In areas
designated as construction zones, and where overhead work is being
